SPRINGFIELD — Workers returned Wednesday to the Roderick L. Ireland Courthouse following what had been described as a “deep clean” over an extended July Fourth weekend only to find dirt and dust left undisturbed.
Messages written in the dust atop furniture were still legible. Workers shared photos of bugs still in crevices. One wiped a paper towel over a desktop and it still came up black with dirt.
