Plastic Molding Manufacturing (Hudson, Mass.) announced that it has added five new injection molding and two coordinate measuring machines in upgrades to its manufacturing and quality operations.
The $1 million-plus investment will enable the custom molding company to distribute the pair of 214-ton machines, two 259-ton machines, and a 101-ton machine throughout its manufacturing network, which includes plants in Hudson as well as in Berlin, Conn., Lancaster, Pa., and South Bend, Ind.
As a core initiative for 2021, PMM will look to continue to automate manufacturing processes and further introduce new technologies in the coming months, according to CEO George Danis. “We are always looking to implement the newest technologies and automation to provide our customers with quality parts, timely and cost-effectively,” Danis said in a news release.
PMM’s medical applications include critical care, diagnostic equipment, drug filtration, high-volume disposable products, and housings and components.
